We need lots of lovely volunteers to help during Fringe week, with up to four stewards for each event.
The role of volunteer stewards is to help make sure the performances go without a hitch and that both the audience and performers are happy. This might mean that you are:
helping the acts setup
liaising with committee members.
You will be supported in this by your venue manager.
If you’re looking for experience in live arts events, arts administration or customer service this is a great opportunity for you.
Stewards should have great team spirit and be:
always willing to help
Any time you can contribute is welcome, but we do ask that you are available for at least two slots of roughly 90 minutes during Fringe week, as well as one training session of roughly 1 hour, in the run-up to the Fringe.
As a thank-you for your time, you will receive a free ticket to ar Fringe show of your choice, and you may be able to watch shows that you are stewarding.
Some venues have wheelchair access and all venues have good public transport links. If you have concerns about any of these factors please email Sarah to see what needs can be met firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have a yen for lighting and sound operation, and would be interested in being part of the Fringe tech team, then we’d love to hear from you! Similarly, if you’re new to tech but would like to get some hands-on experience, then we’re always happy to welcome people who want to shadow or assist - this year’s shadowers are next year’s operators! Contact Steph for more info email@example.com
We can never have too many people helping to spread the word - be that people flyering for us, spreading the word on their social media, contacting local businesses etc. Get in touch with Sarah (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Heather (email@example.com) who will welcome your support and can advise on flyering dates etc.
