Schools Poster Competition

Our poster competition is BACK! And this time with an added international flavour...

Celebrate a cultural exchange between Reading and its Twin Towns with our Poster Competition!

We want local children to embrace the arts and culture of our Twin Towns of Düsseldorf in Germany, San Francisco Libre in Nicaragua, Speightstown in Barbados, and Clonmel in Ireland. This is an extra special year, as we are inviting all of our Twin Towns to join in the fun, providing even more opportunities for us all to connect!

For more information on our Twin Towns see https://www.getreading.co.uk/news/local-news/you-need-know-readings-twin-6857631.

Details

Entries are in age appropriate categories.

KS 1 and 2 will be producing a poster to advertise our Children’s Events. Detailed information will be added later, which will allow children to focus on their illustrations.

KS 3 and 4 will be designing the front cover of the Children’s Events programme.

Prizes will include:

  • complimentary tickets to a show of their choice
  • vouchers for an ice cream parlour (venue tbc)
  • art materials

Plus the added bonus of seeing their art work displayed and viewed by an adoring public!

This list is not final and may be subject to change, but we know it will be worth the effort!

How to enter

The artwork must be:

  • no bigger than A4
  • designed using bright, clear colours - the art needs to be eye-catching and easy to reproduce!
